Release date: 3rd of April 2024 at approx. 19:00 CET.
The time required to update to version 4.14 depends on the number of sites on your WorkPoint solution. You should expect the update to take 0,5 to 1 second per site in the solution.
With this release, we are especially focusing on further optimizing aspects of WorkPoint 365 with the goal of reducing the number of calls made towards SharePoint and Microsoft Graph. This is done to limit the risks of solutions getting throttled and therefore users perceiving slow performance or even failures of the WorkPoint solutions.
Every interaction with SharePoint and Microsoft Graph, from retrieving data to executing actions, consumes what are known as Resource Units (RUs)—a quantifiable measure of the computing resources utilized in the process. These RUs are finite; excessive consumption can lead to throttling, where the system deliberately slows down, impacting performance and user experience.
Our latest release introduces a more efficient traffic management system for WorkPoint 365. By optimizing the way our platform interacts with SharePoint and Microsoft Graph, we have effectively reduced the number of calls necessary to perform tasks. This means that each action taken within WorkPoint 365 is now more resource-efficient, conserving your valuable RUs. The direct benefits are twofold: first, a lower risk of reaching your service limits and experiencing throttling, and second, a noticeably faster and more reliable performance from the WorkPoint systems.
This strategic enhancement is not just about improving the present; it is an investment in the future. As customers grow and the volume of data and interactions increases, maintaining optimal performance becomes increasingly challenging. Through these optimizations, WorkPoint 365 is better equipped to scale with customers’ needs, ensuring that their experiences remain seamless and responsive, regardless of demand.
General product stability and bug fixing
Another key area of improvement in this release is the general product stability and bug fixing. We have addressed more than 50 bugs that were affecting various aspects of WorkPoint 365, such as security, performance, user interface, functionality, and compatibility.
By resolving these bugs, we have enhanced the overall quality and usability of WorkPoint 365, ensuring that customers can enjoy a smooth and error-free experience. We are committed to continuously monitoring and improving our product, and we appreciate any feedback or suggestions from our customers.

Synchronizing site sharing settings
Master site synchronization will now automatically synchronize the sharing settings for entity sites to those of the master site. On the Master site, these settings can be managed in the "Site sharing settings" panel, which can be opened by clicking the options gear in the top right corner of the page, then clicking "Site permissions", and then "Change how members can share":
Allow unique permissions on lists with no rules
By default, WorkPoint's security system has always automatically inherited permissions from entity site level to underlying lists which had no security rules targeting them. This is still the default behaviour, but with this release, we have introduced a new setting in the security settings page for each module titled "Allow unique permissions on lists with no rules". When this option is enabled, WorkPoint will not inherit permissions from the entity site to underlying lists not covered by any security rules, making it possible for these lists to retain their unique permissions.
The "Allow unique permissions on lists with no rules" option can be found in the "Security rules" section of the security settings page, as shown here:
