WorkPoint Express Scripted Installation (use this for installing journalise flag)

The support of scripted installation is based on standard Windows Installer command-line installation. There are three custom MSI properties, which are used:

  • WPACCESSGROUP
Used to define an Active Directory group who are allowed to load WorkPoint Express

  • WPREGSERVICEURL
Used to define the central web service URL

  • WPINSTALLJOURNALIZEFLAG
WorkPoint EMM specific feature (default not installed)

  • CUSTOMERID
ID used if you are running a datastore hostet in Microsoft Azure

Examples

The following examples are how a scripted installation could look like for both the MSI and EXE installation.

With a local datastore:

MSI :
msiexec /I "WorkPoint Express.msi" /qb WPACCESSGROUP=DOMAIN\WPEGROUP WPREGSERVICEURL=http://wpwebservices/WorkPointExpress WPINSTALLJOURNALIZEFLAG=1

 EXE :
"WorkPoint Express Setup.exe" /s /v"WPACCESSGROUP=DOMAIN\WPEGROUP WPREGSERVICEURL=http://wpwebservices/WorkPointExpress WPINSTALLJOURNALIZEFLAG=1"

With an azure datastore:

MSI :
msiexec /I "WorkPoint Express.msi" /qb WPACCESSGROUP=DOMAIN\WPEGROUP CUSTOMERID=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 WPINSTALLJOURNALIZEFLAG=1

EXE :
"WorkPoint Express Setup.exe" /s /v"WPACCESSGROUP=DOMAIN\WPEGROUP CUSTOMERID=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 WPINSTALLJOURNALIZEFLAG=1"
