Install WorkPoint Express for WorkPoint On-Premise

In this tutorial you will learn how to install our Microsoft Office add-in WorkPoint Express.

Please note that if you use Email Manager in your Solution you will have to use the "Scripted Installation Guide" to also install WorkPoint Journalize flag.

  1. In Microsoft Word click on the "File" menu

Verifying the installed version 32bit/64bit of Microsoft Word

  1. The last part of the Microsoft Word version number indicates that this is the 32bit edition of Microsoft Office installed on this computer

Downloading the WorkPoint Express setup file

  1. Now as you know which version of Microsoft Office you are running, you can download the matching installer

WorkPoint Express for 32 bit Microsoft Office Edition: http://download.workpoint.dk/software/x86/WorkPoint%20Express%20Setup.exe

WorkPoint Express for 64 bit Microsoft Office Edition: http://download.workpoint.dk/software/x64/WorkPoint%20Express%20x64%20Setup.exe

When the download has completed run the WorkPoint Express installation software.

  1. Click on "Next" to proceed with the installation

  1. Insert the SolutionID provided to you in an email from WorkPoint, if you haven't received any key contact WorkPoint support at support@workpoint.dk
  2. Click on "Next" to continue

  1. Click "Install" to confirm the installation of WorkPoint Express

If prompted by the Windows operating system, click "Yes" to allow the installation

The installation of WorkPoint Express has completed.

  1. Click "Finish" to close the installation wizard

Adding your WorkPoint On-Premise site to WorkPoint Express

Adding your WorkPoint On-Premise site to WorkPoint Express
  1. Open on the "..." icon and then choose "Settings"
  2. If you tick this box you will be able to add a site for all WorkPoint Express users in your company. If you only want to add the site to your personal computer keep this box unticked
  3. Now click on "Add" to open the next dialogbox
  4. Choose "WorkPoint" as Site type
  5. Choose your WorkPoint On-Premise Version. If you are not sure what to choose contact your system administrator for assistance.
  6. Insert the URL to your WorkPoint On-Premise site
  7. OPTIONAL: If you are using a ADFS server, you can add it here. If you are not sure, contact your system administrator for assistance.
  8. Enter a friendly name for your site
  9. Click on "Ok"
