Note: This article relates to WorkPoint 365 version 4.25 RC (Release Candidate), which will be deployed to Production environments on June 12. The new functionality and bug fixes described in this article are not yet available unless your solution is already running WorkPoint 365 version 4.25 RC
Article last updated on the 12th of June, 2025.
With the release of WorkPoint 365 version 4.25, WorkPoint Automate now supports another important feature from the legacy Wizard framework: the ability to create multiple documents and/or items from templates in a single step. This is facilitated by the new step, the Create documents, folders and items step.
This step opens up for many different scenarios which can greatly help efficiency in creating many items at once, for example upon entity creation.
Additionally, as always we have worked on fixing various issues related to the WorkPoint 365 product, as well as various stability and performance improvements.
Please note that this update may take a little longer than usual, about half a second per entity on the solution. In some cases this update may take hours to complete.
New Features
Create documents, folders and items step
With the introducing of the new step to WorkPoint Automate, "Create documents, folders and items", it is now possible to create multiple items in one go in WorkPoint Automate processes.
This functionality is best known for it's usage when creating multiple documents or items, such as tasks, based on templates. This could, for example, be used for creating a set of tasks from templates when a project transitions into a specific stage.
You can read more about this step in this article, and various use examples in this article.
Improvements
- Customize General teams channel: It is now possible to customize the name of the General channel being provisioned with teamifying an entity site in WorkPoint. When a master site is teamified, a channel called "General" is automatically created for it. Renaming this channel will ensure that new teams created from that master site uses the updated name for their General channels as well.
