1. Introduction
In this article, we will cover the various configuration options you have when configuring My Tools buttons to be used in WorkPoint Express 365.
We will not cover all the settings for My Tools buttons, but instead cover those relevant to buttons used in WorkPoint Express 365. You can read more general information about My Tools in this article.
2. Configuration
- When setting up a My Tools button to be used in WorkPoint Express 365, it's important to select "Express 365" in the "Display in app" field. If the button should be usable both in WorkPoint 365 and WorkPoint Express 365, both options can be selected.
- If the button is business module scoped (i.e. a business module is selected in "Instance", but no list is selected), the "Pin to toolbar" option can be enabled to display the button when the user hovers their cursor over an entity inside WorkPoint Express 365. The following image demonstrates this behaviour, where we have pinned a "Journalize" button the Projects business module:

- In the "Process execution type in Express 365" field, you can select whether the executed process should run as "Interactive" or "Non-interactive":
- Interactive: The process runs in a window, and steps are presented to the user. This option is used when you need users to e.g., fill in forms or make choices during a process and then execute some actions. An example could be a process for creating entities or documents.
- Non-interactive: The process runs in the background, with no process window shown to the user. This option is used when the user does not need to provide data or make choices in the process but it should run simply as configured and in the background. An example could be an e-mail journalization process.
3. Example
In this example, we have set up two My Tools buttons to be shown on Project entities in WorkPoint Express 365:
Note that the Copy project button is not pinned, but the Journalize button is.
This results in the Journal button being shown when hovering the cursor over the entity in WorkPoint Express 365:

Note that the pop-up box shows that one e-mail is selected and will therefore be journalized by the process executed by this button.
The Copy project button can be found by clicking the Options button:

Note here that both the Copy project and the Journalize buttons are available in the Actions section of the menu.
Note also that the Journalize button again displays the number of e-mails selected, and which will be journalized by it's associated process.
These buttons are also available if we click into a specific project.
Here we have clicked into the Project Blue entity site:

- If we click the Actions button, we can access our My Tools buttons in the menu.
