1. Introduction
The List View webpart for WorkPoint 365 is used for displaying list information on a WorkPoint dashboard. List View webparts can be used to display a range of list contents, e.g. document list contents or E-mail list contents.
2. End User Guide
- The List View webpart can be used to open items from the contents, as well as viewing information about the items. Items can be opened by clicking the title, and additional actions can be performed by opening the context menu:
- Clicking the List View webpart title will navigate you to the list which is displayed in the webpart. The view of the list will include the filtering configured in the webpart.
3. Notes
3.1. List View webpart White List
WorkPoint supports various types of lists to be displayed by the List View webpart. There may, however, also be certain list types which are not yet supported.
The purpose of this white list is to provide information about which aspects of the List View webpart are supported by WorkPoint - "supported" meaning that these a tested and verified to work.
3.1.1. Scopes supported
The following scopes are supported by the List View webpart:
- Root site
- Current site
- Parent site

The following list types can be used to pull contents from:
- Standard list
- Task list
- Events list

The following list view types can be used to display list contents:
- Standard view

The following field types can be used for Grouping:
- Text fields
- People fields
3.1.6. Using lookup fields as links
The List View webpart shows lookup fields as links, which can be used to navigate directly to the location the lookup field is pointing to:
- In this example we have a List View webpart showing projects on a Project Management solution. This list contains a lookup field which points to the parent company of the project. Clicking the link in the lookup field takes the user directly to the parent company site:
