1. Issue description
When opening a WorkPoint solution in a web-browser, users may be met with the following warning message:
This issue is caused by the browser blocking third party cookies.
This articles provides a workaround for this issue for various browsers.
2. Google Chrome
To fix this issue, set Google Chrome to not block third party cookies by following these steps:
- In Google Chrome, click the "Customize and control Google Chrome" icon.
- In the options, click "Settings".
- In the Settings window, perform a search for "cookies".
- In the results, click "Cookies and other site data".
- In the "General settings" section, select either "Allow all cookies" or "Block third-party cookies in Incognito".
These settings save immediately. You can now refresh your WorkPoint solution, and the issue should be resolved.
3. Mozilla Firefox
To fix this issue, set Mozilla Firefox to not block third party cookies by following these steps:
- In Mozilla Firefox, click the "Open Menu" icon.
- In the menu, click "Options".
- In the Options window, click "Privacy & Security".
- The issue can be resolved by either setting the "Enhanced Tracking Protection" to "Standard", or by selecting "Custom" and clicking the "Cookies" drop-down menu and selecting either "Cross-site and social media trackers", or "Cookies from unvisited websites".
- Click the "Reload All Tabs" button, and if necessary, reload any tabs running the WorkPoint solution.
4. Microsoft Edge
To fix this issue, set Microsoft Edge to not block third party cookies by following these steps:
- In Microsoft Edge, open the "Settings and more" menu.
- In the menu, click "Settings".
- In the Settings menu, click the padlock icon to access the "Privacy and security" menu.
- In the "Cookies" section, change the drop down menu to "Don't block cookies".
These settings are saved immediately and the issue should be resolved. Please reload the WorkPoint solution.
