User Guide: Change Stage

1. Introduction

WorkPoint Express users can change the stage of entities through the WorkPoint Express interface. This feature opens the Change Stage wizard of WorkPoint.

2.1. Inspecting the current stage

The current stage of an entity can be inspected in the Properties of the entity:

Right-click the entity in WorkPoint Express.
Click the "Properties" menu item.

The value for "Content Type" displays the current stage of the entity.

2.2. Changing stage

The "Change Stage" wizard can be accessed from WorkPoint Express by right-clicking an entity:

Right-click the entity of which you wish to change stage.
Click the "Change Stage..." menu item.

This will open the "Change Stage" wizard:

Select the stage you wish to transition into.
Click the "Change stage" button.

This will take you to the next step of the Change Stage wizard:

Make whatever changes needed to the meta data of the entity.
Click the "Save" button to finalize the stage change.

The system now changes the stage of the entity. The following window is shown:

Upon completion, you can inspect the properties of the entity to ensure that the stage was changed, as exemplified below:

Right-click the entity.
Click the "Properties..." menu item.

The "Content Type" column always displays the current stage of the entity. In this case, the stage was changed to "Inactive" which is indeed the current stage.
