In WorkPoint Express there are two mutually exclusive methods for filtering business module lists; using list views, or using field mapping filters.
1. Views
With views, you can use the SharePoint views defined for your business module lists to filter the entities shown in WorkPoint Express.
An example of this is shown in the following image:
In this example, on the Projects business module, we have selected the "My Projects" view. This view is configured to only show the projects on which the logged in user is either Project Manager or Project Assistant.
To use business module list views, WorkPoint Express caching for the specific business module needs to be disabled in the Client settings of the module. You can read more about how to disable or enable WorkPoint Express caching in this section.

2. Field mapping filters
With field mapping filters, it is possible to define field mappings, e.g. to define when entities should be considered "active", and then use that information to filter the business module lists in WorkPoint Express.
An example of this is shown in the following image:
In this example, on the Projects module we have selected the "Active items" field mapping filter. In the field mapping settings for the Projects business module, we have defined that projects which are in either the "Planning" or "Active" stages should be considered "Active" in this context.
Therefore, the business module listed in WorkPoint Express using this filter are those which are in one of those two stages.
To use field mapping filters, WorkPoint Express caching for the specific business module needs to be enabled in the Client settings of the module. You can read more about how to enable or disable WorkPoint Express caching in this section.

3. Enabling and disabling WorkPoint Express Caching
In this section, we demonstrate how to enable or disable WorkPoint Express caching for the Projects module. The same method can be used for any business module in WorkPoint.
- On the WorkPoint solution in a web browser, click the "Home" button.
- In the bottom of the side panel, click the cog icon.
This opens the WorkPoint 365 Adminsitration:
- In the WorkPoint 365 Administration, click the header of the business module for which you wish to enable or disable WorkPoint Express Caching. In this case, we select the Projects module.
- In the menu, select "Client Settings".
- In the Client Settings page, check or uncheck the "WorkPoint Express caching enabled" checker in accordance with your needs.
- In the bottom of the page, click the "Save" button.
The settings are now saved, and you should be returned to the WorkPoint Administration dashboard:
For the settings to manifest in WorkPoint Express, you need to close all applications using WorkPoint Express and open them up again.
