The Update item step is used for updating the meta data of items like Tasks, Risks, and so on. Examples of meta data could be the person responsible for the item, a due date, or a status.

It is often used in collaboration with e.g. an "Item form" step, in order to input new meta data or changing existing data, which can then be saved using the "Update item" step.

An example of such a setup could look like the following:

String Use this field to give the step a friendly title.
Description String Use this field to give the step a description of use.
Name String Use this field to give this step a unique name used for identification.
Step Input Object Use this field to select an output from a previous step as input for this step.
Business Module String Use this field to select a business module.
Business Module Entity String Use this to define the ID of the business module entity.
Entity site list String Use this to define in entity site list in which the item to update is located.
List item ID String Use this to define the ID of the item to be updated.
Content type String Use this to define the content type of the item to be updated.
