The Update item step is used for updating the meta data of items like Tasks, Risks, and so on. Examples of meta data could be the person responsible for the item, a due date, or a status.
It is often used in collaboration with e.g. an "Item form" step, in order to input new meta data or changing existing data, which can then be saved using the "Update item" step.
