Process Management Framework - Copy entity

The Copy entity step performs the action of creating a copy of a source entity.

Additionally, it allows for time displacing the new entity to either a fixed date, or relative to the source entity, e.g. by 2 weeks, or 1 year.

Finally it allows for copying relations from the source entity, as well as list contents.

It is used primarily in processes which copies e.g. cases or projects, an example of which is shown in the following image:

Step specific properties

Parameter name Type Required Description
Business Module String Yes Use this field to select the business module of the source entity.
Entity String Yes Use this to define the ID of the source entity.
Type String No Select the type of time displacement. Options are:
  • Fixed
  • Relative
Primary field String No Select the primary field to be time displaced.
Additional fields Array No Select additional fields to be time displaced.
Fixed target date String No If Type is set to "Fixed", use this field to select a date to time displace the entity to.
Period String No If Type is set to "Relative", use this field to select the period for time displacement. Options are:
  • Days
  • Weeks
  • Months
  • Years

Combined with the "Interval value" field, these define by how much the entity is time displaced.

Interval value Integer No If Type is set to "Relative", use this field to select by how many of the period selection the entity is time displaced.
Example:
Relations Boolean No Use this field to select whether relations from the source entity should be copied to the new entity.
Copy lists selection Array No Use this field to select from where to get information about which lists and what content to copy from the source entity to the new entity.
This information typically comes from a previous Copy entity form step.
