The Get item step can be used to prepare an item, such as a document or a task, for later use in a process.
An example of use could be a process which edits document meta data. This process can be opened by e.g. clicking a link, which has parameters for identifying the document in question. The Get Item step can then be used to get all the document information and store it in the context for later use, e.g. in an Item form.
